Here we go! The new stock is starting to pile in and so now is the time for us to make room and sell our remaining sale stock for a song. You had better move darned quickly though, as everything now has a massive 70% off!

Lots of our great Fifi Wilson Sale buys transcend the seasons so you can pick up something this month that you will also be able to wear when the clocks go back. The Odd Molly Bunt Lovely Knit jacket is the perfect weight for our British weather whatever the month. It’s such a popular style that Odd Molly repeat it each and every season with only the smallest detail or colour change. The Manoush Veste Officer Girl jacket in sky blue or navy is another great jacket that will look perfect teamed with jeans come the Autumn. With a little nod to the one off items we have left, we are amazed that there is still one By Malene Parnasse blazer left in our shops. This is just too good a buy to miss and if I were a size 38 I for one would have snapped it up some time ago!

One of the sayings that was drummed into me as a little girl, was treat others like you would like to be treated and I try very hard to carry that ethos into our shops. Nothing infuriates me quite so much as people not being straight and deliberately misleading others. One of the worst crimes has to be the retail ‘Up to…’ conspiracy.

We’ve all rushed along to one of our favourite shops at sale time with ‘Up to whatever off’ stickers plastered over the windows only to enter and find a couple of tired pieces marked at the maximum reduction and the rest with a pathetic, miserable discount. So……  when it comes to Fifi Wilson, we do not mess about. Our sale is renowned as we go straight in at 50% off all clothes. With last season being our first ever online sale, nothing prepared us for how many sales would flood through and I got quite upset that stock was disappearing before our boutique customers could get into the shops. They’re damn speedy those online shoppers and nothing lasts very long, so you do have to be quick. Still all’s fair in love and shopping. We have top designer labels such as Manoush, See by Chloe, Odd Molly, Stretsis, Nice Things, APC Madras including so many others. I am limbering up me lil’ wrapping fingers for June 15th as I type ……

We’re all for bold statement jewellery to add interest to a simple outfit. However, we  often crave beautiful, understated pieces of daintiness that we can admire day in day out. We have just received the most darling miniature creations from Coco Kato that you have ever laid your eyes on.

What we really love about this jewellery, is it’s versatility. Beautiful tiny pearl or silver ball bracelets (£58/£36.50) and necklaces (£78) knotted on thread that you can wear without a care as to whether it goes with what you’re wearing. They also provide a wonderful solution to that all too familiar evening dress that needs a little lift but you don’t want anything too distracting. We have already had a lot of brides buying for themselves and their bridesmaids.

We love our new labels and here’s another that’s creating quite a stir. The label Sretsis is three sisters (Run the word backwards – clever eh!) that trained at New York’s prestigious Parsons School of Design. The girls have quite a following in the States, but are still relatively unknown this side of the pond.

Combining femininity with a kooky edge gives their dresses, skirts and blouses a fresh, modern look. We love versatility and you will need little more than heels and a slash of crimson lipstick to take you from daytime chic to nightime glamour. Stretsis has rapidly become a celebrity favourite, with Beyonce and Katy Perry being snapped in Sretsis virtually everytime they leave the house.

A particular favourite in our boutiques has been the nautical blue and cream striped skirt. This look is right on trend and the figure hugging cut is amazingly forgiving. The perfectly placed pelmet hides a multitude of sins! So tuck in a white vest, cute flats and you’re ready to rumble.

Sorry, but this is just not on! What is happening with our weather? We were just enjoying the heatwave and then the rain returns and spoils it all again. We can’t help thinking of all our customers that have special events taking place this weekend. There are quite a few weddings, christenings and parties that we know of, so we’re keeping everything crossed that the weather forecasters are correct and it dries up overnight…… and when it does, you could have bagged this fab circa 1970’s Miami style white and gold beaded dress by Manoush, from one of our London Boutiques or online shop at a fraction of the price.

This white oriental Vint dress by Manoush is perfect teamed with bug eyed sunnies, clanky bracelets, big curls, sandals and a tan. Not bad, glamour to make you look as though you’ve stepped out of Studio 54 all at a rainy day discount of 40% Suppose, the rain isn’t all that bad!

Okay, we’re at it again! We reckon with all these festivals coming up, you all need something easy to wear that will look great in wellies and mud! So we’ve reduced Summer 2010’s collection from See By Chloe by an even larger 40%. Full of cool, easy to wear pieces you can’t go wrong!

We’ve got you covered. How about teaming the navy or light blue ruffle cardigans with your floral festival dress or the bubblegum bow dress for upbeat gigs and dancing in the fields. Or wear your blue bow dress to the trance tent! Get ready to shake your booty!

As any of our regulars will tell you we at Fifi Wilson do a great end of season SALE. We shall never insult you by adding stock that we haven’t had in our shops throughout the season or offer you measly discounts. Our turnover is very quick and we have deliveries virtually up to the start of our end of season sale, so you can pick pieces that have not been in the store very long at all.  However, we have often sold out of lines or only have one or two sizes left in favourites that we have had a little longer. SO, to avoid missing that piece you love and the weather you need to wear it, we also offer you a mid-season sale where we choose one of our great labels and offer you discount as a little help.

This season we have chosen  See by Chloe Summer 2010 collection and there is more than enough to choose from. The knitwear is fab from the knitted cardigans in blue or navy to the knitted sleeveless dresses. Or how about the frill shirts which come in faded pink and blue. My personal favourites are the bow dress in bubble pink or blue and the jacket and coat, but take a look for yourself at our See by Chloe designer page and look great for 40%  less on us.

Shopping Local’s a good thing!

Our wonderful, stylish customers take pride in dressing themselves in their own unique style and we take great pleasure in providing them with stunning clothes that they will love for years. Independent shops provide you with choice and variety, so if you don’t want a world full of high street clones and a lack of individuality try to support your neighbourhood independent retailers.

We would also like to point you in the direction of our laid back Italian label called Local. We’ve just included  these gorgeous, relaxed pieces in our online store which are perfect for those warm days when you want to feel nothing but the breeze on your skin. You’ll look pretty as a picture in the blue smock dress or how about the cute crochet dress, which comes in crisp white, sea blue or dove grey. The shape of the sleeveless embroidered dress which comes in grey or blue is flattering and perfect for mooching about town or country on those hot days.

So whichever way you look at it, shopping Local’s a winner!

Finally Spring has sprung and we’re all feeling brighter due to the lighter evenings. If you haven’t already done so now is the time to update on key pieces and you can’t go far wrong with nudes and naturals to ease you into Spring.  We have really stunning fabrics and shades from pearlised oyster, mushroom, oatmeal, chalk and washed out pastels. For an elegant evening this Just In Case Nude Arry dress is perfect, or how about Dress Gallery’s fun flapper dress or the By Malene Indoux dress showing that impact doesn’t neccessarily mean bold colours. We have a great nude blazer in store by By Malene that worn over the top, gives the dresses a laid back relaxed edge.

As I’m sure lots of you already know, we are always on the lookout for new and exciting designers. Alongside our well known designers we like to be able to offer customers something fresh that they are not going to find elsewhere.

One of these new such designers is Vivetta (She trained under Roberto Cavalli) who makes unique, bold style decisions when creating her eye catching pieces. It is this sort of confidence and individuality that speaks to us when it comes to dressing. We are the only people in the UK to stock Vivetta and like our customers, her following is strong, independent women who like to think outside the box and dress for how they feel, rather than be dictated to.

The best endorsement that we ever receive is our customers approval and selling out last season said it all. It has been great that the press have become as smitten with Vivetta recently and Peaches Geldof has become such a fan that this month she met up with the designer in  London to shoot the A/W10 cmapaign. Peaches then hot footed it back to NY looking super cute wearing Vivetta to the shows.
