As I’m sure lots of you already know, we are always on the lookout for new and exciting designers. Alongside our well known designers we like to be able to offer customers something fresh that they are not going to find elsewhere.

One of these new such designers is Vivetta (She trained under Roberto Cavalli) who makes unique, bold style decisions when creating her eye catching pieces. It is this sort of confidence and individuality that speaks to us when it comes to dressing. We are the only people in the UK to stock Vivetta and like our customers, her following is strong, independent women who like to think outside the box and dress for how they feel, rather than be dictated to.

The best endorsement that we ever receive is our customers approval and selling out last season said it all. It has been great that the press have become as smitten with Vivetta recently and Peaches Geldof has become such a fan that this month she met up with the designer in  London to shoot the A/W10 cmapaign. Peaches then hot footed it back to NY looking super cute wearing Vivetta to the shows.

But keep your eyes peeled as we have plenty of exciting new designers arriving this season and next. We promise you will not be disappointed!

And phew…… it’s over. Gifts have been exchanged, food devoured and there’s not a bottle left in the house – or is that just mine? We’ve all been very spoiled and now have lovely, yet homeless trinkets lying around.

If you’re familiar with us then you’ll know that we buy pieces that last the course! We buy clothes that you can wear year in, year out and some tops, cardis and jackets that even transcend seasons. Everybody that works in our shops will tell you that the one comment we hear repeatedly is that the item the customer bought from us is a favourite and never off her back. This is very satisfying as it means we are doing our job properly. Fashion has to move and evolve but we’re careful about suiting the customer rather than the latest trend.

So, when it comes to the Fifi Wilson sale after Christmas our clothes disappear faster than the pine needles. We treat customers the way we like to be treated and we find nothing more exasperating than those awful ‘Up to’ sale signs. You walk into the shop with the promise of up to 50% off to find it full of much lower discounts. So, we don’t mess around we give something back to our great customers and reduce what stock we have left of Disaya, Odd Molly, Manoush, Gabby Harris, By Malene, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Bella Freud amongst many by a straight 50%. Be warned though, word has spread and we have many items that there are only one or two pieces left in all the shops!

If you want to pick up some of our great buys Chelsea and Covent Garden boutiques are open on Boxing Day 10-6pm and all boutiques are open on New Years Eve 12-4pm. Otherwise, we are of course open all hours online. Please allow for a slight delay in delivery times over the festive period.

Hands up who’s ready for some Spring/Summer ‘10 in their lives?! Thought so. One of the best aspects of working in fashion is the excitement of the new season. At the risk of sounding like a tree hugger (Won’t be the first time!) it’s the same thrill you get when you see the daffs and buds appear. Our Sonia Rykeil has just arrived and it’s mighty fine. We think that’s it’s one of her best collections to date. It’s fitting that Sonia propels us into Spring with such a fresh, fun collection but believe me that’s only the beginning. There are such beauties coming our way and as always we’ve got so many new labels that no-one has in the UK.

Every year at Christmas the shops surrounding Chelsea Green in London open late for an evening of mulled wine, mince pies and discount to help you through this stressful time. Well, it’s come around once again and with This Works, Colette Dinigan, Cath Kidston, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Aelia Laelia, Felt, Lucie Rylova, The Pie Man, Traditional Toys and ourselves all particiapting you have the choice of gifts, clothes, toys, treatments or food. Everyone offers treats and reductions of some sort that make it well worth wrapping up and braving the cold for.

So take some time out and come along this Thursday if you happen to be in London (Sorry to those further!) between 6-8pm and we shall offer  you some treats and 20% discount on all the clothes in our Chelsea Green shop. If life is just too busy right now, the babysitter is all booked up and it’s impossible to get out then we shall make a concession for you and offer you the 20% discount for the whole of Thursday if you say ‘Santa baby’ when you come to the counter with your purchases!

Oh my, do we have a treat in store for you! With all the awful storms overnight and us being so fond of our customers, we thought we’d give you a little pre-Christmas cheer. We often choose to discount one of our labels and offer a little pick me up for when we sense that we’re all getting a bit tired and stressed – and let’s face it who wouldn’t be these days!

We can’t say it’s been terrifically easy nor that we haven’t been a tiny bit envious of those returning from happy holidays displaying bronzed bodies rather than eye strain but ……..  we think it’s all been well worth it and we’re hoping you do too! Once I have my computer surgically removed from my lap, I can’t wait to try on this season’s amazing collections. It’s such a strong season. Perhaps it’s because of my head being buried in my laptop, but when I last looked up the air seemed slightly crisper and the sky slightly darker.
