Here we go! The new stock is starting to pile in and so now is the time for us to make room and sell our remaining sale stock for a song. You had better move darned quickly though, as everything now has a massive 70% off!

Lots of our great Fifi Wilson Sale buys transcend the seasons so you can pick up something this month that you will also be able to wear when the clocks go back. The Odd Molly Bunt Lovely Knit jacket is the perfect weight for our British weather whatever the month. It’s such a popular style that Odd Molly repeat it each and every season with only the smallest detail or colour change. The Manoush Veste Officer Girl jacket in sky blue or navy is another great jacket that will look perfect teamed with jeans come the Autumn. With a little nod to the one off items we have left, we are amazed that there is still one By Malene Parnasse blazer left in our shops. This is just too good a buy to miss and if I were a size 38 I for one would have snapped it up some time ago!

One of the sayings that was drummed into me as a little girl, was treat others like you would like to be treated and I try very hard to carry that ethos into our shops. Nothing infuriates me quite so much as people not being straight and deliberately misleading others. One of the worst crimes has to be the retail ‘Up to…’ conspiracy.

We’ve all rushed along to one of our favourite shops at sale time with ‘Up to whatever off’ stickers plastered over the windows only to enter and find a couple of tired pieces marked at the maximum reduction and the rest with a pathetic, miserable discount. So……  when it comes to Fifi Wilson, we do not mess about. Our sale is renowned as we go straight in at 50% off all clothes. With last season being our first ever online sale, nothing prepared us for how many sales would flood through and I got quite upset that stock was disappearing before our boutique customers could get into the shops. They’re damn speedy those online shoppers and nothing lasts very long, so you do have to be quick. Still all’s fair in love and shopping. We have top designer labels such as Manoush, See by Chloe, Odd Molly, Stretsis, Nice Things, APC Madras including so many others. I am limbering up me lil’ wrapping fingers for June 15th as I type ……

We love our new labels and here’s another that’s creating quite a stir. The label Sretsis is three sisters (Run the word backwards – clever eh!) that trained at New York’s prestigious Parsons School of Design. The girls have quite a following in the States, but are still relatively unknown this side of the pond.

Combining femininity with a kooky edge gives their dresses, skirts and blouses a fresh, modern look. We love versatility and you will need little more than heels and a slash of crimson lipstick to take you from daytime chic to nightime glamour. Stretsis has rapidly become a celebrity favourite, with Beyonce and Katy Perry being snapped in Sretsis virtually everytime they leave the house.

A particular favourite in our boutiques has been the nautical blue and cream striped skirt. This look is right on trend and the figure hugging cut is amazingly forgiving. The perfectly placed pelmet hides a multitude of sins! So tuck in a white vest, cute flats and you’re ready to rumble.

As all our stylish sisters know, hemlines are high this season. Thigh-skimming numbers are in. Day or night, smart or casual.

Check out our Stretsis stripey numbers for a sleek silhouette. The high waisted skirt looks great dressed down with a simple vest and converse. Why not sling a Maison Scotch black blazer over the black and cream dress to add a relaxed feel to the form-fitting one piece.

Sonia Rykiel’s strappy shift dresses are so chic and sophisticated. Choose between pink, black and oatmeal. The gold detailing would be beautifully enhanced with a metallic clutch and heels. For a smart complete look, take a peep at the matching coats , jackets and short sleeved shifts.

Kill two trends with one dress in the fun, flirty Manoush which encorporates  ‘Sailor-Chic’ and ‘Short and Sweet’.

Let’s celebrate this glorious sunshine in style and raise our hemlines as well as our spirits!

As any of our regulars will tell you we at Fifi Wilson do a great end of season SALE. We shall never insult you by adding stock that we haven’t had in our shops throughout the season or offer you measly discounts. Our turnover is very quick and we have deliveries virtually up to the start of our end of season sale, so you can pick pieces that have not been in the store very long at all.  However, we have often sold out of lines or only have one or two sizes left in favourites that we have had a little longer. SO, to avoid missing that piece you love and the weather you need to wear it, we also offer you a mid-season sale where we choose one of our great labels and offer you discount as a little help.

This season we have chosen  See by Chloe Summer 2010 collection and there is more than enough to choose from. The knitwear is fab from the knitted cardigans in blue or navy to the knitted sleeveless dresses. Or how about the frill shirts which come in faded pink and blue. My personal favourites are the bow dress in bubble pink or blue and the jacket and coat, but take a look for yourself at our See by Chloe designer page and look great for 40%  less on us.

Finally Spring has sprung and we’re all feeling brighter due to the lighter evenings. If you haven’t already done so now is the time to update on key pieces and you can’t go far wrong with nudes and naturals to ease you into Spring.  We have really stunning fabrics and shades from pearlised oyster, mushroom, oatmeal, chalk and washed out pastels. For an elegant evening this Just In Case Nude Arry dress is perfect, or how about Dress Gallery’s fun flapper dress or the By Malene Indoux dress showing that impact doesn’t neccessarily mean bold colours. We have a great nude blazer in store by By Malene that worn over the top, gives the dresses a laid back relaxed edge.

If it’s casual you’re after how about this Just In Case Roma top,  Set Safari dress or the Goat Fabia cardi for our ever so variable British Summer.

To finish it off you need some easy flats and this gold Metallic pair (Which also come in bronze) from Bloch do that beautifully. There’s definitely a Spring in my step, how about yours?

Ahoy there Matey, come jump aboard the Fifi ship of style! Stripes, anchors, stitched boats, we’re all going nuts for nautical. Drop your anchors, hop onto dry land and make your way to one of our stores. No we don’t really have Fifi ship store sadly, it would be fun though don’t you think? Answers on a postcard please…or should I say in a bottle….

Sonia Rykiel have a stunning range this season. Our favourites being the black and cream stripey, knitted, sexy dress with little boats stitched on the collar. Then there’s the cutest little outfit ever. A  little white top with blue and red detailing and again those cute little stitched boats and the bold blue high waisted skirt in the usual incredibly flattering shape always used on her skirts. If you’ve never tried one you really ought to, we have people return every season for more due to their wonderful, clever cut.

Then there’s our fab Le Mont Saint Michel navy cardi with cream anchors all over and blue and white stripey skirt.

As I’m sure lots of you already know, we are always on the lookout for new and exciting designers. Alongside our well known designers we like to be able to offer customers something fresh that they are not going to find elsewhere.

One of these new such designers is Vivetta (She trained under Roberto Cavalli) who makes unique, bold style decisions when creating her eye catching pieces. It is this sort of confidence and individuality that speaks to us when it comes to dressing. We are the only people in the UK to stock Vivetta and like our customers, her following is strong, independent women who like to think outside the box and dress for how they feel, rather than be dictated to.

The best endorsement that we ever receive is our customers approval and selling out last season said it all. It has been great that the press have become as smitten with Vivetta recently and Peaches Geldof has become such a fan that this month she met up with the designer in  London to shoot the A/W10 cmapaign. Peaches then hot footed it back to NY looking super cute wearing Vivetta to the shows.

But keep your eyes peeled as we have plenty of exciting new designers arriving this season and next. We promise you will not be disappointed!

And phew…… it’s over. Gifts have been exchanged, food devoured and there’s not a bottle left in the house – or is that just mine? We’ve all been very spoiled and now have lovely, yet homeless trinkets lying around.

If you’re familiar with us then you’ll know that we buy pieces that last the course! We buy clothes that you can wear year in, year out and some tops, cardis and jackets that even transcend seasons. Everybody that works in our shops will tell you that the one comment we hear repeatedly is that the item the customer bought from us is a favourite and never off her back. This is very satisfying as it means we are doing our job properly. Fashion has to move and evolve but we’re careful about suiting the customer rather than the latest trend.

So, when it comes to the Fifi Wilson sale after Christmas our clothes disappear faster than the pine needles. We treat customers the way we like to be treated and we find nothing more exasperating than those awful ‘Up to’ sale signs. You walk into the shop with the promise of up to 50% off to find it full of much lower discounts. So, we don’t mess around we give something back to our great customers and reduce what stock we have left of Disaya, Odd Molly, Manoush, Gabby Harris, By Malene, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Bella Freud amongst many by a straight 50%. Be warned though, word has spread and we have many items that there are only one or two pieces left in all the shops!
