Doll up with some gorgeous paper eyelashes from Paperself!
(Check out my previous blog on the lashes, and see how I tried them out at London Fashion Week and what all of my thoughts and feelings about wearing them here: A Wink Is Worth More Than a Thousand Words )
At Fifi Wilson in Chelsea, you can admire and take home three different lashes, that are sure to glam up your life!
Try the girly, cute butterfly lashes for some extra day-time pizzazz! Cut them up to your liking and simply apply to the corner of your eyes with regular lash glue available at any Boots store!
Go for a more dramatic look with the peacock design! Great for nights out on the town! I guarantee they will definitely be a looker! Wearing mine at London Fashion Week, I even overheard girls chatting away about them at the dinner table next to mine!
Dive under the sea! Start singing you’re fave Disney song ever and wear these divine fish, sea stars and plants lashes! Bring out the mermaid Ariel in you, and be “Part of that World”! Cut them up and have an adorable sea star emerge from your bottom lash for that extra bit of sparkle!
All lashes are re-usable, and very easy to apply and take off! Priced at just £13.95 they make the sweetest gifts to girl friends or as stocking fillers! Buy for yourself and simply turn a basic black dress into a sensation with these fashionably fab lashes!
Come get them while they last, at the Fifi Wilson store in Chelsea Green! We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Eyes are the windows to ones soul. Beautiful eyes suggest a beautiful personality….
Yes, I was present during that literature class a million years ago.
Paperself give beautiful eyes a whole new meaning with their lush lashes! I checked them out at London Fashion Week!
Imagine turning your head and catching the eye of the man of your dreams, wouldn’t you want your eyes to be in top shape? There are countless designs and motives of eyelashes you can choose from with paperself, allowing you to go from dramatic fabulous fashionista with zebra lashes (the ones I ended up getting done
) to adorable tiny butterflies that twinkle out at the corners of your eyes to add a little bit of unexpected beauty and detail to your look!
The most lovely Paperself Gal ever adds some pizzazz to her lashes with dramatic drops on her bottom lash! I had such a hard time deciding which lashes to get done, I loved them ALL so much!
You can cut the lashes up to make them shorter and fit your eye shape or to add a little bit of lash to the corner of your eye or have a single butterfly emerge from the middle of your lashes!
My personal favorite was the ‘Bird’ design! It is so romantic and girly, and perfect with a gorgeous Fall dress and thick wooly tights for a dinner date.
I tried out the lashes to see how they work and feel!
The lashes are made of paper, and although you’d think they’d be extremely delicate, mine lasted all day and well into dinner and drinks at Big Easy at night! It took the Paperself girl about a minute to apply the lashes to my eyelids, and although I am pretty sure I will be taking a little bit longer, they are very simple to use and move around! The lashes are reusable and come off relatively easily when pulling them off slightly. I used a tiny bit of moisturizer to help them slip off a little better! They come with out the lash glue, but you can pick one up at any local Boots!

The Zebra lashes are definitely for nights out or dramatic appearances and parties! They are super unique and add that extra bit of extravagance to super confident girls!
I got several curious and excited looks on Kings Road on my way to dinner, and over heard a girl at a table close by chatting away about the amazingly artistic lashes to her rather uninterested boyfriend!
You can shop Paperself eyelashes at your beloved Fifi Wilson stores now, and start adding some extra winter sparkle to your wink!
I am definitely stocking up on several lash-occasion designs and will be making great use of my new favorite fall accessory this season!
Oh My GOSH! Elizabeth Lau is here!

Board your Yacht in the Riviera, girls! Elizabeth Lau is here with her Spring/Summer 2012 collection to take you on a Summer holiday!
So we all adore Elizabeth Lau already, but with her Olive Oyl and Brigitte Bardot inspired Summer collection, I think our adoration has just mutated to undying, passionate obsession. ( At least mine has! )
I went to check out her collection at London Fashion Week, and was stunned by the cool, quirky knitwear! Her effortlessly chic collection works for every type of woman and every kind of wardrobe. Her two very conflicting muses, Olive Oyl and Brigitte Bardot, establish just the right balance of luxurious charm and eccentric coolness.
The nu-retro feeling we get from her collection works for casual summer days, vacations to the Cote D’Azur, midsummer parties and celebrations as well as nights out or in!
Check out her fashion video project featuring the drummer of the US Indie Band ‘The Like” Annie Monroe : Elizabeth Lau Spring Summer 2012 collection!
Although I am in love with her entire collection, and wish I could live in 100% Elizabeth Lau from now on, my personal favorites include her GOSH! appliqued jumper, the Life Saver appliqued & hand beaded jumper and her Pearly Princess hand beaded T-Shirt, which are more than gorgeous!
I proudly purchased her Heartbreaker jumper in grey and red from her last collection at Fifi Wilson in Chelsea last week, and have literally not taken it off!
The Lambswool is super soft and comfortable and the cut is so casual and cool! People compliment me on it where ever I go!
London Fashion Week Exhibitions

On the spring, with notepad, pen and iPhone ready, I spent most of my Sunday checking out the fabulous collections for Spring/Summer 2012.
In my vintage brown suede high heeled boots and with my Fashion Week Exhibition pass wrapped around my neck, I walked up and into the bottom level of Somerset House around noon on Sunday.
Even though I always dream of seeing some amazing celeb at an event, I never do. Probably ’cause I don’t pay enough attention and usually wander around, too tightly wound in my own thoughts, that even recognizing my own sister somewhere would be dificult. Still, I was hoping to see some fashion creators and victims and maybe the occasional famous face. While I did pass extravagantly dressed girls with matching face paint and outfit, I did not see anyone worth mentioning by name. Totally okay though, since the fashion was more than exceptional and so super exciting!
Being a Doll my love for shoes is unconditional, and could possibly even be called obsessive at times. I passed the most unique cassette heels ever by Cleo B’s “I Like That” collection.
She claims to have gotten her inspiration from a magazine tear of a pink cassette tape set against a bright yellow background. “It reminded me of a decade that cradled the birth of pop culture; it reminded me of the 80s”. – Cleo B
The Cleo B brand has found a very interesting balance of creativity and elegance. The shoes are extremely unique and very funky yet down to earth and conservatively lady-like at the same time. I love these heels, and can see myself wearing any of the colors combined with a sophisticated business look to add a little fun and youth to the outfit, or with leather leggings or skinny jeans for a more casually chic look.
Straight on to the next pair of gorgeous shoes, these casual summer heels are solving my personal Da Vinci code. I have been searching the stores all summer to find these exact shoes, and am thrilled to know where to find them for next season! Seriously cool with skinny jeans and romantic and feminine with a summer sun dress!
The exhibition was so much fun to admire and i found some exciting fashion pieces of art to gaze at in awe! It seemed like everywhere I turned, I either found my self in front of a awe-striking design, or staring at a fashionable wonder-woman with huge hair decoration and chunky heels!
Tatty Divine says ‘Hola’ to a real juicy jewellery collection! Their Spring/Summer 2012 collection is inspired by Frida Kahlo’s beautiful face and Mexican embroidery. My personal favorites were the Melon Large cantaloupe necklace, that comes with matching earrings, and even a tiny melon hat! (so cute) And the Sugar Skull Link Necklace. Skulls and skeletons nod to the Day of the Dead, but look closely and you’ll find them decorated with Tatty Devine symbols!
This is a really fun summer jewellery collection, I know I’ll be wearing next season!
Amongst bacon sandwiches and a tiny glass of champagne, I found my self scribbling down everything I could lay my eyes on! Whether the gorgeously bohemian Winter Kate collection by Nicole Richie, or amazing rubber dresses and coats for rainy spring days in London, I could not stop bouncing up and down in excitement!
Being the biggest fan and lover of Dachshund sausage dogs E-V-E-R, I could not resist taking a picture of this adorable “I love hot Dog” poster, out on the terrace of the Somerset House! The design comes as a super cute sweater and a Tee, and makes me so very happy!
At the end of a long day of London Fashion Week exhibitions, I found my self so inspired by London’s young talent! What an honor it is to be able to live and love and laugh in such an amazing city?
If I had the talent, I would sit down right now and create my own fabulous Fashion line, or paint a portrait or maybe I’ll just bake some cupcakes and decorate them with sugary butterflies… Either way, express yourself through art! Live, love, learn!
Friday Night Carlotta Gherzi Show at LFW

Fashion is a lot like being on stage. As a singer and performer, I feel like fashion allows me to play a different role with every outfit I put on. (At the moment I’m doing a lot of the ‘girl power, I’m a woman like Whitney, Barbra or Renee Fleming’ with dark lips and a diva attitude. Not sure how well that is working out for me.)
Anyway, even though I’m a singer, I do enjoy fashion and the art around it. ‘Course I was super excited and thrilled to be able to go to London Fashion Week this weekend!!! It’s my first yet, and I loved every second of it!
Stepping into my nude colored platform heels and a chocolate drape dress, I marched up towards the leading showcase for fashion innovation: Vauxhall Fashion Scout on Friday evening for the Carlotta Gherzi catwalk show!
My patience level has never been very high, so waiting in line for about an hour was not going to happen. Instead I nipped to the pub next door and got my self a small portion of fries with ketchup and mayonnaise. (Yes, I do realize fashion is generally all about looking fabulous at all times and drinking coffee instead of having meals, but in case you have ever experienced my mood swings when I am hungry, you will be very approving of my side of fries!)
I seemed to be whirled into the show space with a pack of excited, high heeled ladies with massive hair and slick looking gents in suits with funky ties and matching socks that peeked out under their tailored pants.
I felt like I did back in elementary school on my first day there, excited but a little bit nervous about what was about to come! My heart beating in my throat and pounding hard in my stomach and my eyes and ears taking in every speck of surrounding, as if I were in Willy Wondka’s candy shop.
The lights flickered off and the music started blaring, and I lost my heart and soul to the fashion world completely.
Her S/S 2012 collection was wearable and elegant in a very feminine way! I felt like the models seemed almost fairy like in long chiffon gowns with intimately delicate floral patterns. Specked amongst summer dresses were purple flares with orange detailed linings and matching tops, adding pep and courage to the beautiful line.
I fell in love with about four dresses straight from the cat walk and can absolutely imagine myself wearing them to several upcoming summer events, or casually every day next season. My personal favorite was a cream colored knee length loose dress with a gorgeous silky looking waterfall back and gentle, precious lace details along the front.
The more than divine, feminine pieces are very similar to the girly chic style at Fifi Wilson, and some of the Fall/Winter dresses at Fifi Wilson can definitely be compared to Carlotta Gherzi! This is a label Fifi Wilson will be keeping an eye out for in the future
Friday night being my first catwalk show ever, I was more than pleasantly surprised, Carlotta hit my exact taste and style with her S/S collection, and I have now become a fashion victim and fashion week addict!
London Fashion Week 2011

Hello girls!
Sorry for the wait, but between the weekend and fashion week at Somerset House, we haven’t had much time to update our blog.
We’ve admired all the new talented designers and braved the cold weather to catch some of the most incredible street outfits and most famous fashion bloggers of the moment!
Believe me, it was a real show!
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a ticket, it’s enough to be close to the event in one of the four glamour capitals to be amazed by new trends worn by the fashion pack that pass you by.
They do it with gravity defying heels or braving arctic temperatures in little else than lightweight dresses and all in the name of fashion!
Over the last few days some of the best known brands like Westwoood, Burberry Prorsum and Paul Smith had their shows. Not all of them were at Somerset House, some chose prestigious venues like the British Museum, The Royal Courts Of Justice, The Royal Park of Kensington Gardens to name but a few.
My favourites so far have been the McQueen style skulls, studs, fur sleeves and emerging fluorescents! Over the next few days London Fashion Week will be drawing to a close, and heading for Milan but stay tuned, as very shortly we’ll have all our gorgeous new arrivals online!
Fashion & Freedom

There are very few rules to London life, the rest is up to you.
In this incredible city freedom reigns. Nothing is kitsch or simple, beautiful or ugly, there are no hours of the day or seasons.
For this reason, whether you’re walking through a crowded west end street, checking out Shoreditch, strolling through a peaceful park or walking down the historical King’s road, you can observe really eclectic styles. I think it’s a great idea to jot down your inspiration about the best or the worst outfit combinations. Walk down any high street and you’ll spot an eccentric lady wearing a thin vintage silk dress opposite two girls wearing cropped fur jackets and perhaps a bohemian wearing flip flops.
Nevertheless, even in London we will be waiting in anticipation for what the fashion industry has in store for us this coming season.
Whilst we’re only just ending the Winter sales and redressing the windows with delicious new Spring/Summer collections, we will still have one eye on Winter 2011!
Fashion runs faster than we can follow. It’s a great never-ending show that we all love to be part of!
So stay tuned with the fifiwilson.com girls because we’ll keep you updated with all the most interesting creations and trends!

Ah, Fashion Week has returned to the coolest capital once again. We take pleasure in supporting edgy, British designers and always have a fab selection of London labels gracing our rails. Check out Bella Freud, YMC and Elizabeth Lau. All doing it for the Brits in their own individual way.
Bella Freud creates gorgeous, quirky jerseys that just ooze effortless cool. Kate Moss is a fan, so if you want the ’London Look’, these beauties will do the job way better than any nail varnish. Soz Kate.
Unaffected by seasonal trends, you can’t go wrong with YMC who create intelligent clothing that’s both functional and modern.
Elizabeth Lau provides us with fun, happy clothes. Perfect for a little ‘Pick-me-up’ or ‘End-of-week-treat’!
So jump on the bandwagon and back the Brits. Your country needs you! (Tell me that’s not the best shopping excuse you’ve ever come across!)

Fifi Wilson is one of my favourite little treasure chests. A must stop and shop every time I am in London!
