Hi girls, while waiting for London Fashion Week (like a seven year old child on Christmas eve) on saturday I paid a visit to an amazing exhibition: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion.

Japan is more than Nintendo, Manga and Sushi. The clever and inspired exhibiting artists honor their ancient country.  The superb protagonists here are some of the most important Japanese stylists such as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and many others!  Three decades of inspired arts brilliantly exhibited as only the Barbican can do.  The gallery adorned with translucent drapes, has transformed all the exhibition hall into an incredible voyage through the last thirty years of Japanese avant-garde.

Have I convinced you to go? I hope so… you won’t regret it!

And of course don’t forget our last sales days.. we still have fantastic pieces by Vivetta, Manoush, Sonia Rykiel and other fantastic designers. For more details visit us on fifiwilson.com.

Short & Sweet

shortAs all our stylish sisters know, hemlines are high this season. Thigh-skimming numbers are in. Day or night, smart or casual.

Check out our Stretsis stripey numbers for a sleek silhouette. The high waisted skirt looks great dressed down with a simple vest and converse. Why not sling a Maison Scotch black blazer over the black and cream dress to add a relaxed feel to the form-fitting one piece.

Sonia Rykiel’s strappy shift dresses are so chic and sophisticated. Choose between pink, black and oatmeal. The gold detailing would be beautifully enhanced with a metallic clutch and heels. For a smart complete look, take a peep at the matching coats , jackets and short sleeved shifts.

Kill two trends with one dress in the fun, flirty Manoush which encorporates  ‘Sailor-Chic’ and ‘Short and Sweet’.

Let’s celebrate this glorious sunshine in style and raise our hemlines as well as our spirits!

aliceI don’t know about you, but here we have all been desperate to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie and it hits the big screen today, SO exciting! We can’t wait to delve into this wonderful fantasy world filling us with nostalgia. If you haven’t already seen the trailer, check it out now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjMkNrX60mA.

Makes you want an ‘Alice’ dress to wear for afternoon tea and cakes in the park doesn’t it?  And now we have all this beautiful sunny weather why not organize a lovely little gathering on your local green spot, bring your best china cups and nip to M&S for some cupcakes and cucumber sandwiches.  Now, while we can’t promise you a lead role in a Tim Burton movie, we can provide you with costume which is every bit as delicious. For example, pop into one of the boutiques to lay your eyes on our pink, silk Manoush dress – it’s a fairytale! Perfect for a tea party with any Mad Hatter.

Or how about our fast-selling Vivetta white collared Pierrot dress with the circle cut outs, great for a spring picnic. Or the See by Chloe cream collared beauty? Or then there’s Dress Gallery’s Carlotta, a cute 50′s looking pale blue cutie. All of these are sweeter than the cream cakes. Pop a bow in your hair, lay down a rug and start pouring.

A date with us is one you really can’t be late for, we’re selling out of pieces so quickly this season. Tick tock tick tock….
