Or if you’re after a thick warm coat, take your pick from the most individual, beautiful pieces. Each of the three versions have lovely detailing such as a faux fur collar and navy grosgrain ribbon tie at the waist.

Or maybe the  black By Malene bow coat is more your style. This one is classic with a twist at it’s very best. The pleating at the back is simply perfect and whenever this one has been in the window on a mannequin we’ve had people flooding through the door.

If you’re after something slightly less bulky then you should probably go for the in between winter warmer; the cardi-coat. Thicker than any cardi you can find, but without the heavy feel of a coat, this Babbu knitted coat is by far the perfect compromise with the benefits of both. Also a fab alternative to black, the navy and cream is a bit different and great with dark denim.
