Head Above the Rest

Headbands used to be just about keeping your hair out of your eyes but Deepa Gurnani embellished headbands have changed that. These headbands have been leaving Fifi Wilson pretty much as soon as they arrive and we’re not surprised.

While studying fashion at Central Saint Martins Deepa Gurnani beaded couture pieces for Alexander McQueen, Ben Maher, Emanuel Ungaro and Fendi.  Her partner Jay Lakhani, a jewellery designer trained under the heads of Tiffany and Bvlgari. Between them they came up with these beautiful statement headbands to give the wearer a distinct sense of style and individuality. So for £33 – £43 you can give a glamorous twist to any outfit. They look just as good worn with a pair of slouchy jeans and a t-shirt as they do with a smart outfit for that big occasion. The perfect accessory!

Choose from multi strand velvet encrusted with clear stones to tiny beads embroidered into garlands of leaves or discs. Some bands look as though they have come straight from Midsummer Night’s Dream wardrobe department as there is such a theatrical quality. So come tread the Fifi boards, take centre stage and grab a bit of the headband action!
