He has worked for and with Marni, Monsoon and Accessorize before founding his own luxury fashion house in February of 1997. 

His infamous debut collection "Electric Angels" came to life that year during London Fashion Week, where models such as Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Jade Jagger strutted down the cat walk in his bias cut dresses and tangerine, fuchsia and magenta colors. 

Since then, Matthew Williamson has been growing in momentum, opening flagship stores in London and New York and winning several fashion and designer awards.

His ready to wear collections are elegant but fun, sexy and luxurious but casual and chic. He collects his inspirations from his travels around the world.
